The Awakening - EP

"Oh, this is something really beautiful. You might think you have heard all the ingrediences before, like synthesizers, female vocals, a symphonic approach. Sure, you have, with so many superficial mainstream bands which turned inspired music into radio pop for the masses who hardly love and listen to music. Anyway, this is the real stuff. The vocalist ranges from classic opera soprano via more mid ranged rock vocals to enchanting folkish moments with a very exalted approach within her voice. This alone lifts this 38 minute album to a level of unearthly beauty and the instrumental structures have yet to be described. You get straight metal riffing, some proggish twisted passages with a nearly thrashing power, then the band turns into majestic mid paced sections on which guitars and synthesizers are having a passionate duel with each other, shooting wicked and wild leads around until one of them sinks down dead. This band here combines traditional symphonic hardrock, progressive metal, thrashy power metal and haunting neoprog to a very special kind of music. It is uplifting in nature and heals your sores. Excellent, for music lovers you are really eager to discover a new album part for part."
